Macon Regional Crimestoppers is a local non-profit serving the Bibb, Baldwin, Houston, Jones, Twiggs, Crawford, Monroe, and Peach regional areas. Through our deployed systems as well as the cooperation of local law enforcement agencies, citizens in our community have a safe, secure, and confidential means to report crimes. If a tip results in an arrest, a reward will be paid to you confidentially and anonymously!

🚨 Teamwork makes the dream work—even when it comes to public safety! Check out this tip related to an arrest that happened beyond the nine counties we serve. Together, we can make a difference! 👮‍♂️Our office has arrested Matthew Timothy Neet and charged him with Theft by Deception. Neet advertised UGA football tickets for sale online, and thinking nothing suspicious of it, someone purchased those tickets from him. It happens every day, so why should we assume the worst? The problem is those tickets never existed. Upon further investigation into Mr. Neet, it was revealed this isn't his first scam. There are currently 30 or more victims across the state who have been taken for over 1.3 million dollars. Turns out, Neet had been selling football tickets, concert tickets, and even real estate that never existed for quite some time. He was arrested last week in Louisiana and was extradited to the Jones County Jail on Tuesday. He has been denied bond, and has holds from multiple other agencies.
